David Miller

Miller PAGE

David Miller passed away suddenly in 2008. In 2016, Galerie de l’Ancienne Poste dedicated a tribute exhibition to his work. A piece by the artist has since entered the collection of the CNAP.

“David Miller was someone who crossed borders — not only geographically, when he moved from England to France in 1978. Equally accomplished as a sculptor, painter and ceramicist, he resisted rigid artistic classifications. For him, ‘modern’ and ‘traditional’ were neither opposites nor hierarchies. He was at once an artist of the applied arts and of the fine arts, moving with equal assurance between genres and techniques, which he connected with remarkable fluidity.”
