For this second solo exhibition at Galerie de l’Ancienne Poste, the Hungarian artist Pálma Babos continues her quest for a unique style made up of porcelain sculptures that evoke 21st-century cities, as well as the relationships and interactions of the people who live in them. The towers presented in 2022 have taken on colors, and they also take on human appearances as they tilt, turn away, and gently fall.

Biography
These towers possess an independent identity; they had their own individuality and their own behavior. The built system is now merely a carrier for the characters; here, the sculpture series is no longer about the structure. Continuing this thought, the colors serve to amplify the individualities. The colored towers embody individuals and are not articulations of concepts. These are real living beings full of life, who are citizens forming a small society. They bow, put their heads together, communicate, or perhaps one distances itself, moves outward from the group...
