Thomas Bohle
28 March – 10 May 2026
Opening on Saturday 28 March from 5 pm with the artist
Thomas Bohle, Untitled n°26/4, 2016
For his third solo show at Galerie de l’Ancienne Poste—which continues to represent him exclusively in France—the celebrated Austrian ceramist Thomas Bohle reveals a new constellation of ceramic sculptures of unparalleled singularity. Building on his renowned double-wall construction technique, his work tirelessly explores formal tensions: curves and counter-curves, solids and voids, concave and convex, inside and outside, what is revealed to the eye and what remains concealed. Each piece thus becomes a site of dialogue between balance and mystery.
Press release
"Working with clay is an sensitive process, not knowing where it will lead me I cannot help but roll with the tide. The ever-changing soft material keeps changing, reacting to every movement of mine, subtle as it may be, and reflects my inner mood. After burning it lures me into feeling its surface. The attraction remains forever."
